This might not be so important for the influencers who trade 15 contracts at a time...
But, for anyone like me - it's so frustrating when trying to pass a combine or meet my $200/day in the XFA when my mouse is hovering over the Flatten All and I'm watching that Balance like a hawk to make sure I hit my goal - THEN, I exit all trades thinking I've passed my goal, only to find out I exited a perfectly great trade to be $10-$30 short! Where if I knew EXACTLY how much I needed to be over the Balance, I would've waited - because it was such a great entry. But, then I get sliced and diced trying to make that $30, and lose $200 over a few trades. (It's happened).
ALL because the Balance didn't reflect the correct, real-time NET amount.
SURE I could move my TP/SL OCOs/Brackets - but some assets move in milliseconds. I don't want to be in the process of moving my TP, and the price hits the TP and heads the other way - before I even let go of my mouse and set the new TP.
Many times, I set my TP where I think it should be, but decide to get out when I've met my goal for the day.
I understand "Flatten All", etc is Market, and there's a spread.
But there's not even the slightest chance I can calculate my balance, the spread AND the commission in real time. It's just not possible. (BUT, it is easy for your platform)
So, please: either have a box showing the NET Balance (like "BAL: $xxxx" you already have in the platform) or a user-defined setting where I can convert the BAL and UP&L to reflect exactly what it will look like if I closed my position via Market vs Limit.
Basically, the bottom line - If I'm looking at that Balance box like a hawk, and then I sell/buy via Market - I want that Balance amount to remain exactly as it was when I hit the Flatten button (provided the price didn't change in that millisecond).
This feature will help my hair from graying before its time ;)
