Adjustment of Loss Limit to Lock Part of Profits
Hello Topstepx,
I would like to propose an adjustment to the loss limit settings. Currently, the Personal Daily Loss Limit (PDLL) cannot be set below zero when we in profit.
We all know the scenario: you start the day well, are in profit, but end up in the red or, even worse, hit the daily stop-loss. It would be extremely helpful if we had the ability to adjust the stop-loss so that we can end the day with at least 50% of the profits earned.
For example, if we have made a profit of ($1000) in a day, it would be advantageous to set the stop-loss to (-$500), ensuring we don't give back all the gains if the trades turn bad afterward. I believe this adjustment would help us protect our profits better and make our trading strategy more efficient.
Thank you and best regards,

Agree with this enhancement. I find myself so often in money and then greed kicks in I forget about my own lockout “Ïn profit” rules and end blowing the account. If we could set it up so that one chooses the level after which you don’t loose more than a certain % profit which could also be chosen up front. Also suggest that no option to “Liquidate” is there, only “Liquidate and Block”.

I just wrote on this same topic. As I called it a Lockin-Profit feature. Akin to the current Lockout feature. I think this is a great idea.

To be clear. Once up in profits, be able to change the Personal Daily Loss Limit (PDLL) to set the loss limit to actual be a profit minimum (i.e. enter a negative number thus locking in a profit.

Exactly, that is what it means.

I'm also a big fan of this feature and would really like to see it implemented.

This is a great idea! The ability to adjust the stop-loss to lock in part of the gains would be extremely helpful.
