Allow us to manage MULTIPLE POSITIONS on a trade Individually

Allow us to manage MULTIPLE POSITIONS on a trade Individually

Say I have one position on gold thats 3 micros and I add to my my winning trade another 2 micros…allow us to manage these positions individually like other brokers do.

also to add to this the biggest hindrance us traders have to letting our winners run right now IMHO is the order that the platform automatically scales trades out…

If you add to your winners it really messes things up when the platform takes your most profitable trade off first leaving you with your least profitable trade last.

say you have 2 positions on a trade and it starts to go against you, so naturally you want to scale out and leave a runner on (which would be your oldest most profitable order….)

But right now you cant do that, what it does do if you were to scale out is it takes off your most profitable order and leaves you with your most recent order last, which if you were scaling out is NOW underwater, making it nearly impossible to let your winners run….you end up just exiting everything.

Note the way other brokers handle this is typically each position you put on is managed individually by the trader…..OR each position with the same lot size are grouped together into a position (a 2 micro positon and a 3 micro position in Gold would be managed as two separate trades/positions) AND/OR they just allow the trade order when scaling out to be LIFO (most recent order goes first when scaling out and first position goes last.)

these changes would cause traders to have longer times in trade, and allow them to let their winners run more effectively ultimately leading to more profits for the trader and Topstep.
