API access - open to other trading programs too.
As much as possible to allow us to really have a good community trading platform, make this as much open source as possible, ability for API access (for AI, or other trading programs to be able to make trades) would be really great for the community to be open and friendly to programmers, in addition to having the ability to make custom indicators, plugins, or any layout template customizations to share and design our self would be a plus.

Agreed. I would like an API as well. I imagine one day connecting to Topstep X API via Quantower while at home, Topstep X web interface and official mobile android/apple app on the go. The mobile apps requires an API so I have high hopes it will be programmed with open API in mind for future expansion possibilities.

Starting with a simple API to create orders (market & limit) would be a great Phase 1 milestone.
After order entry is done and TopStep is happy, then you can add streaming updates for orders, positions & executions.
But, having the create order endpoint to begin, would be a great help to my trading and many others I'm sure.

It would be great if you can publish pre-release TopstepX API specs, like some OpenAPI or Swagger specs or rRPC/Protobuf definitions so we can develop against test services. This will allow those of us who can develop scripts to develop using the TopstepX API and be confident that we are working towards the same interface.
Just something like v0.01b of the TopstepX API specs. Those get changed and published before the actual changes. This will also let anyone who has a script with a breaking change some warning.

I would also add for the API request the ability to communicate with outside APIs (such as Notion's API for the development of personal automated journals for stuff like executions info and more of course without the sensitive information).

I have my own chart with my data and i want a API to make sell and buy buttons in my trading app. TopStepX is very help full tool but i use my own data.
