CME Logic

So something happened and I just would like your thoughts on this.

On January 26 at 7:50pm I was trading Silver, and in summary the price moved past my stop loss so I was immediately confused, I then tried to pull out of the position and it keep saying I was "trading outside trading hours", so I started recording me trying to get out the position and still no luck, but after 8 minutes and 30 seconds it automatically pulls me out of the position at -$980.

I tried refreshing the page, logging in and out, everything... and from what I see online there was no 8 minute constant halt.

I tried to contact topstep support as from my research it was a technical problem on their part, but they've tried to tell me it was just a CME Logic after their investigation.

Also, after stating to support that their own article says this happens for around 5 seconds (After a short pause (~5 seconds), the market resumes normal trading. - Quoted from the article) and my situation was 8 minutes and 30 seconds, they then took down the article.

How likely is it that this is a CME Logic and whats your thoughts? and is topstep trying to scam me?
