After we place a trade, a popup appears to the side of our chart giving a emoji option to choose from so we can quickly track our emotions while trading.
I currently use those little emoticons to pick out patterns and kind of indicate what I’m thinking by using little emoticons. It literally helps me pinpoint where I was thinking what I would otherwise just record in writing in my journal. I started with smilies, but look at all those other emoticons. Are you telling me I can’t feel more specifically?
OK. Maybe just a long or short position box that I can click on to journal with change tracking.
I was thinking, if you can allow people to put emoticons on the chart near points of interest, successes, and failures, those can be used to setup an outline for journaling that will help people see examples of what they did related to their journal entry. Clicking on them to add comments would be easy while I’m bored, watching the chart. It kind of helps me set up plays instead of just hitting a button. Having the chance to document everything I’m feeling while I’m watching things play out makes me think about problems or other changes I can make. It will also give coaches and partners a better tool if they’re working with others… and the others have this tool.
