📩 Feature Request: Price-Based Account Lockout Feature

# Subject: Feature Request – Price-Level Based Lockout for Improved Trading Discipline.

Dear TopstepX Team,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to propose a powerful new feature idea that I believe would add tremendous value to the TopstepX platform and further elevate its mission of building disciplined and consistently profitable traders.

Currently, the platform allows for time-based lockouts, which is great for cooling off during emotional or over-trading phases. However, I would love to see the addition of a price-based lockout feature — where traders can voluntarily lock their account from executing trades until the market reaches a specific price level, zone, or trendline that they themselves pre-define.

📌 How It Would Work:

• Trader sets a key level, trendline, or price zone on the chart (e.g., 4430.00 on ES or a marked support zone).

• Until price hits that level, the account remains in a locked state — no trades can be entered.

• Optional setting to trigger notifications once price approaches the marked level (e.g., within 2 pts).

• Can be used in combination with existing time-based lockouts for multi-layer discipline.

🎯 Benefits of Price-Based Lockout:

• ✅ Encourages traders to wait for their setup instead of reacting emotionally.

• ✅ Helps avoid FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and chasing trades in the wrong areas.

• ✅ Builds patience and precision, especially in SNR-based or order block trading.

• ✅ Prevents over-trading in low-probability zones.

• ✅ Supports better risk-to-reward planning by forcing traders to respect their marked levels.

• ✅ Encourages higher quality trading habits and deeper preparation.

As a trader who focuses on price action and key levels, this feature would help reinforce discipline by aligning account behavior with trade planning. I truly believe this would be a game-changing addition — especially for serious traders who want to build psychological muscle and avoid avoidable losses.
