Allow the change of position PnL to be $/ticks/% so one does not trade their pnl

on ninjatrader, all you have to do is tap click the P&L and it will cycle through $, ticks, points, percentage. It's extremely useful and I feel like they could easily implement that. In addition to what you wrote, I would like to be able to see how many total ticks I accumulated throughout the day by clicking the days "RP&L" at the top of the screen

Agreed! Its nice seeing your currently position shown in Points. Helps keep me focused on price instead of how much I have made/lost

I totally agree, and I did also already request this. We should have the option of changing running PnL and brackets on the chart to ticks or points to help not trading PnL.
To have consistency in trading it's better to have consistent point / tick level targets, regardless of how many contracts are being used.
Seeing the dollar amount becomes confusing, as you could be cutting trades early or not taking profit early enough, as the value differs depending on number of contracts, where as ticks / points is consistent.
People might think you can read it on the chart, but the chart scale isn't even in ticks, it's in decimal, so this makes it even harder.
