Journal Archive
The journal is great.
However its effectiveness has been somewhat diminished by the fact that all our journal entries are deleted on account reset, making it impossible to go back and review our past trades.
I would ask for a chronological journal archive of past accounts so that II can look back and see the terrrible trade ideas that led to me breaking rules, DLL etc.
Otherwise I should just stick with a notepad and pen.

Just experienced this myself. When i went from a combine to funded account all my journaling and pictures were lost. This seems like a HUGE missed opportunity//oversight.
The journaling system within the platform was a huge upgrade for me and helped me be more disciplined with my journaling, but now that I’ve lost it all switching to funded that REALY hurts.

Just tried to screen shot my data from the last day where I completed/passed my combine. I was so disheartened to see it disappear from the screen (TSX took the data down) moments before I was able to screen shot my data. This is a HUGE disservice to funded traders, heck, ANY trader, who knows that looking back at past performance is crucial to professional growth and development.

I agree with this 100%. But I would also like to see an option to be able to print out journal entries, chronologically by date (for the day’s journal) and then below it showing the journals for each trade.

What is the point of creating a personal journal is the whole thing disappears?
I was finding it very useful. Come on guys. This should be an easy fix.

Also agree with this. Love the journaling tool, but kind of defeats the purpose when all entries just get deleted when account is lost. I would argue that when an account is lost, that is when the journal is most useful. Doesn’t do us any good if we cant go back and review our journal which will illustrate our mistakes so we can grow and learn from them. Although we never plan on losing accounts, it can happen, and its a shame all our efforts journaling are just simply lost at that point. Will have to go back to other means of journaling until this is changed. Maybe have some type of Journal tab on the left that has “archives” of old accounts.

The Jounal should be attached to our “User” account, not a particular combine, XFA, or live account. When we switch from one account to the other, our daily journal comments are gone. We should be able to see our journalling comments and our overall trading results all the time. Can you keep the journalling comments up all the time, and view our overall performance analytics across all accounts, as well as selecting a specific account for performance analytics on that one account as well?

Yes, I’ve been using the daily journal. I rollup each day with a Lessons Learned. If I blow an account I can’t review the mistakes I made, and continue to make the same mistakes. The TopstepX Journal is not effective without keeping all journal entries.
