Layout Management & Instrument Persistence

I would like to suggest a few improvements to the TopstepX layout system.

1. Permanent Layout Deletion

Please add the ability to permanently delete unwanted layouts. Currently, deleted layouts can reappear or remain available, making layout management difficult over time.

2. Layout Instrument Persistence

Please add the ability to associate a layout with a specific instrument and chart configuration.

For example:

• Layout 1 = NQ with 15m, 5m, 1m, and Tick charts

• Layout 2 = MNQ with a 1-minute chart

• Layout 3 = ES with its own chart setup

When a layout is selected, it should automatically load the instrument and chart configuration assigned to that layout and continue doing so until the user intentionally changes it.

I understand that charts and order entry windows can currently be linked using color groups. However, this suggestion is different. The request is for layout-level instrument persistence, where the layout itself remembers and enforces its assigned instrument and chart configuration.

3. Refresh & Multi-Window Stability

I have experienced situations where account information or PnL stops updating, requiring a browser refresh.

After refreshing, a window may load a different layout or instrument than expected, causing multiple windows to become duplicates of each other. This defeats the purpose of maintaining separate workspaces for different instruments.

Trading Risk

This creates a real trading risk.

For example, I may have one layout dedicated to NQ and another dedicated to MNQ. After a refresh, both windows can end up displaying the same instrument and layout. A trader could then believe they are entering 5 MNQ contracts when they are actually entering 5 NQ contracts.

Because of the significant difference in risk between NQ and MNQ, this type of issue can lead to unintended losses before the mistake is noticed.

Layouts should behave as independent workspaces where instruments, charts, and settings remain associated with that layout until the user intentionally changes them.
