Link DOM and Time and Sales to Focused Window

Have a setting on the DOM and Time and Sales to switch symbol to the chart in focus.

If I have 4 charts up with different symbols (e.g. ES, NQ, CL, GC), but only want one set of DOM and T&S windows…

• Clicking ES chart (“focused” chart), would automatically propagate ES symbol into the DOM, T&S, and/or Order window.

• Then click NQ chart (“focused” chart changes to NQ chart now), would automatically propagate NQ into the same DOM, T&S, and/or Order window.

Benefits:

• Saves time when clicking through different symbol charts without having to do multiple clicks for drop down menu on each of the DOM, T&S, and order windows. (Mitigates for mix-ups i.e. accidentally used DOM with ES when looking at NQ).

• Saves screen space by only needing one set of DOM, T&S, and Order windows vs a set for each symbol.

Limitations of Current Linking Feature:

• Linking feature currently only allows for each window to be linked by color. 

  • This is useful if you want to set a symbol to a certain color and then set the DOM, T&S, and Order windows to the same color. 

• The limitations include:

  • Would need multiple sets of DOM, T&S, and Order windows taking up a lot of screen space for each linked symbol.

  • If you want a single set of DOM, T&S, and Order windows, you would have to commit to several mouse clicks on each window to change the link color (or symbol). 

I believe Quantower and Lighspeed Trader have features similar to the one described.
