Move account nicknames to the first column in the dropdown list.

It’s great being able to give accounts nicknames, far easier to see what’s what than the default names. However, you can only see the nickname if you open the list. You cannot, at a glance, see the nickname of the currently selected account. As someone who regularly switches between accounts this would be a very useful modification to make sure I have the right one selected.

    Nickname column for "Account" panel

    There is a panel that lets you track all your accounts with columns like account name, total balance, realized p&l, etc but it doesn’t let you have a column for nickname. Instead, you have to use the long S1SEP123908132908 number to sort them. If we could use the nicknames we assigned to them, it would be more aesthetically appealing. See screenshot for reference

      Use Nicknames instead of Account and Nickname or allow configuration

      The Nickname is pointless if you are showing a long account number in say a Grid or the account selector drop down for trading because many times you can’t even see the nickname.

      1. Maybe have a configuration “Show Only Nicknames”.

      2. If true then do not show the account number in the Account Trading Selector drop down (top left), do not show the account number in any of the grid controls like Accounts, Positions, Orders, and Trades but just show the Nickname.

      Benefit: This allows us to configure shorter identifications and conserve screen space and also mental processing of which account is being trade, balances, open pnl, and open orders.

      Example: I set the Nickname to “TSX-1234” and I know that means TopstepX XFA last 4 digits 1234. It is unlikely the last 4 will ever match and if they do then someone can expand the digits.
