Real-Time Risk Display When Placing Orders

I’d like to suggest a very practical improvement to the order setup interface. When placing a trade and adjusting the stop loss (in ticks) and the number of contracts, the platform should dynamically show the exact dollar amount being risked on the trade.

So, as I increase or decrease the stop size or the contract quantity, I should immediately see how much real money I’m putting on the line. This would allow traders to manage risk more precisely without needing to calculate it manually every time.

This kind of real-time risk feedback is essential for risk management and would drastically improve the user experience for both new and advanced traders.

This already exists if you enter the order as a bracket order (check the risk setting)? Though I agree it’s a pain that if you try to split the bracket order up, you lose that functionality.

I use it daily, quite nice for scaling into a position.

Actually I was refering to before opening a position so you can calculate how many contracts you can buy sticking to your desired risk. Quantower has this functionality and its pretty useful since you don’t need to use an external calculator or doing the calculation manually
