This would be great because Volume Profile Visible Range (the only current option) is maddening for those who constantly adjust their charts horizontally

To whom it may concern, I’ve been a successful trader for about a 1.5 years in the forex market. I’ve recently joined TopStep to switch into the US futures market. Since joining my performance has dropped significantly. The main reason is that TS doesn’t offer Periodic Volume Profile as seen here: https://www.tradingview.com/support/solutions/43000703071-periodic-volume-profile/
The Periodic Volume Profile (PVP) allows you to observe how volume is distributed across key price levels during specific timeframes on one chart (4H, 1H, 15M, etc). In other words a trader can clearly see accumulation of transactions (pools of liquidity and limit orders) on the chart, especially around multiple Points of Control (POCs) or volume nodes.
On TradingView it is a built-in indicator that can be installed and adjusted to different timeframes via the inputs. It’s simple, easy, and automatic once installed. I usually have 4 on my chart each with a different setting (Session open/1D, 4H, 1H and 15M) This setup highlights high volume nodes in real time while leaving historical data behind important to big money.
Additionally, I link all my charts so POC lines appear in all my charts simultaneously. So easy and beautiful. Fast efficient, and powerful. (I don’t have to add PVP’s to each chart)
Then I watch 5M, 1M, and 15 Sec. Trades require fast precise entries and the optimal setup is 1 computer screen with 3 charts, that’s it!
I tried adapting the Donchian Channel to somewhat mimic PVP behavior, but that cost me one account reset so far. Then I tried to watching TradingView and TS at the same time. I either miss trades or I get in late.
Now I’m trying to manually add each volume profile using your Volume Profile Fixed Range (VPFR) in real time for each of the higher time frames. This is very time consuming and extremely distracting and timing problems again.
So far I’ve lost one account and rest it. I’ve had 3 months of failure so far and it’s difficult to accept knowing I’m actually quite good.
Could you please consider adding PVP to the current indicator list you have. Another solution could be that you make TS a plugin to TV, but might sacrifice execution time, not good.
Many thanks for all the good work you do.
Jeff

Agreed with this and unclear to my why the Session VP is not possible but the fixed range is.

Yes but SVP you can extend Value area lines and POC's and they will stay on the chart till touched. with the one they currently have avail you have to draw and remove lines from previous days. SVP is much more user friendly for those of us that use it everyday.

Yes, VP can be manually drawn in at the beginning of each session but it does not update with each new candle. Therefore, we have to keep expanding the VP manually.
Would be nice to have session VP that keeps extending with the candles. I can see if one trades higher time frames like 30min, 1hr and above, it isn’t as much of an issue if you’re only watching one instrument. But for those that trade faster time frames, it can get tedious especially if you have many charts. I don’t think it is not unreasonable nor a difficult request to accommodate.

Fixed range Volume Profile, which is available, can do the same results considering you choose when and where it starts calculating from.

I'm aware of that, I mentioned that in my post and I'm using it as a current work around. Session volume profile which I use on my charts in tradingview automatically plots overnight session and day session and it stays visible. Fixed range doesn't.

I think session AND auto-anchored VP would be great
