Single Position Management

The platform currently supports only DCA‑style (averaged) positions. All entries are merged into a single net position, which forces traders to manage trades under strict FIFO rules. This structure prevents hedging, independent scaling, and precise control over each trade.

Note on FIFO:
Under the current FIFO system, the first entry must always be closed first, regardless of the trader’s strategy. This means we cannot selectively close newer entries, manage legs independently, or protect specific parts of a position. FIFO works for simple trading, but it becomes restrictive for advanced strategies that rely on layered entries, partial exits, or hedging.

Problem:

  • Hedging is not possible because long and short positions cannot coexist independently.

  • Every new entry is averaged into the existing position, removing control over individual trade logic.

  • FIFO rules force a rigid exit sequence that often conflicts with strategic trade management.

  • Risk and profit management become less precise because all orders share the same blended price.

Requested Feature:
Enable separated position management, where each entry is treated as its own independent position with its own PnL, stop, target, and management rules.

Benefits of Separated Positions:

  • Hedging Capability: Ability to offset risk or lock in profits without closing the main position.

  • Independent Trade Logic: Each position can follow its own strategy, timeframe, or risk profile.

  • More Accurate Risk Management: Stops and targets can be placed per‑position instead of affecting the entire net position.

  • Flexible Scaling: Traders can scale in or out without altering the average price of unrelated entries.

  • Professional‑Grade Control: Matches the functionality of advanced trading platforms used by professional traders.

  • Clearer PnL Tracking: Each trade has its own PnL instead of one blended number.

If you want, I can also make it shorter, more formal, or more persuasive depending on the tone you want to use.
