Here is the definition of a UniRenko Bar. I have built an entire system based on these bars and it would great if Topstep would include these
It uses a high or low of a bar as a reference point to start a new bar, similar to conventional Renko bars.
The difference is that UniRenko bars use a fixed price increment (e.g., 50 points) to determine when a new bar is formed, rather than a fixed time interval.
When the market moves up or down by the fixed price increment, a new bar is formed.
The open of the new bar is placed at the close of the previous bar, plus or minus the fixed price increment, depending on the direction of the price movement.
The offset parameter can be adjusted to change the number of ticks from the close of the previous bar where the fake open is placed.
Here's a simple example to illustrate this:
Suppose you're using a UniRenko bar with a fixed price increment of 50 points.
The previous bar closed at 100.00.
The market then moves up 50 points to 150.00.
A new UniRenko bar is formed, with an open at 150.00 (which is the close of the previous bar, plus the fixed price increment of 50 points).
