Trailing stops are not OCO

The trailing stop placed from the order form is NOT attached to your position.

Meaning that if your profit target fills and you're no longer in a position, the trailing stop is not canceled and it still trail the price and WILL GET TRIGGERED!

This can cause some serious damage if you are not closely monitoring your open positions.

Please make an adjustment so the trailing stop is attached to the position to avoid unexpected losses

100% agree with this! Giving the option to have initial SL to be a trailing SL would be great as well!

Absolutely bonkers this has been in review for 11 months. A normal OCO bracket system that allows the use of trailing stops is the most basic feature i feel like. How is it possible to not have this. How is it possible to not have alerts. Functioning trailing stop and alerts. Most basic ask out of trading platform ever.

I hit my trailing stop loss after getting stopped out causing me to go over DLL

This should be optional though. I sometimes use a trail with a higher value than my open position so that it triggers an opposing trade when the direction reverses.

yes there is no reason for the trailing stop loss to remain once the order is over, it should close automatically

    Auto Trailing Stops

There needs to be an easier way to have a trailing stop on charts. We have auto brackets for take profit and risk. Another company has a way to have a set trigger point where it pulls you into profit and then trails up/down as you continue in profit.

Topstep has to cancel out your risk, then add a new order. That is too time consuming and confusing. Topstep would be ahead of the rest with a better way to trail.

The other company you can set when your profit hits whatever amount - say $100 - and it pulls you into profit but won’t let you go back down into negative because it will auto sell at least at $20 or however you put your settings. Please look into this.

      auto trail stop

the $$$ stop out under risk settings is a great feature, but would LOVE an option to set that as a trailing stop as soon as i enter into a position… for example if i set my stop loss under risk settings at $100, to have an option to set that as a trailing stop upon entry instead of a static stop, so when i place a trade, i can just let it ride knowing that it is auto trailing my risk setting of $100 stop… to have to take the time to set trailing stop during live market on smaller timeframes rn is cumbersome at best

    Trailing stop loss

We need a trailing stop loss available as a risk management tool. It is also a time management tool that frees us from chart watching.

      Trailing Stop Loss Settings

It’s essential to have the option to have an automatic Trailing Stop Loss as a setting instead of just the current option which is to have a set, fixed Stop Loss and set, fixed Profit Target. After that, there’s the manual option to Break Even but you have to click “BE” for that to happen. Having an automatic Trailing Stop Loss is important. We should be able to customize how we want to risk manage/manage our trade via automatic settings, not just manually having to drag the Stop Loss and Profit Target while in a trade. A great example of a platform that excels in this is Ninjatrader’s ATM settings.

How about adding a Trailing Stop feature to the Stop Loss to help maximise profits. As the price goes in your favour the Stop Loss would follow behind and Stop when it goes the other way closing to trade when it hit the Trailing Stop Loss.
