Risk management calculator is needed like tradingview
there needs to be a position risk size calculator inside of topstepX, like tradingview has. If you want people to use the platform long term, please add this. otherwise we are just guessing our risk in each trade before we enter. It has been mentioned here in feedback numerous times without a solution.
It would be great if a risk calculator is added just like Trading view has it, when you right clic on the shot/long positin tool then clic on create order, the panel shows you the amount of risk in USD that you are risking, that way we could take faster trades. Thank you!!!

so many people want this not sure why it hasn't been added yet... Topstep?
Tradingview currently has the ability to add in the USD Risk amount you are willing to risk in a trade, this then in turn based on the amount of ticks you want to risk tells you how many contracts can be afforded for that risk. Could we see this implemented within TopstepX as well please to help calculate that on the fly on the order component?

I also need this tool.. otherwise I would choose going back to tradovate..
Automatic tick size calculator for stop loss based on % before placing a trade
Please add an automatic tick size calculator for Risk (stop loss) based on equity % before placing a trade (limit or stop order).
E.g. with a hot key βsβ as stop loss.
If I press βsβ, and hover the mouse cursor on the chart, and click on a price level, it will draw a horizontal line and calculate a predetermine stop loss set as risk % (e.g. 0.25% risk) from the current price.
For me it's the most important tool we need. We know Future trading needs to be with a number of contracts. So, to be easier for us, it will be perfect to have a calculator about number of contracts.
With a link about the order tool, enter the entry value, the SL and the TP.
The calculator will be so nice to calculate the number of contracts we need if we choose per example to risk $100 or $200 or anything else.
I know tradingview use it already so let's do it also please.
I would like to see a simple way of inputting my risk ( $500 ) for example, then the alpha ticks risk control tool continually works out how many contracts need to be used depending on how big my stop loss is
Example:
You would have your stop loss and take profit lines constantly on your chart and every time you drag them closer or further away from where the market currently is your risk always stays at $500
similar to how magic keys works

You mean if you want to risk 500$ per trade and you have a 5-point stop on ES, you can risk 2 contracts, but if you drag your stop to 2,5 points stop, you can have 4 contracts on, and the platform calculates it automatically.
I believe having a mechanic that shows what youβll lose/profit upon entering a trade would help a ton of people with risk management. I typically have a goal of 2:1 when I enter but I donβt know where that will be unless I grab the Long/Short Position tool and draw it. Although I can pinpoint a 2:1, I do not know how many contracts itβll be to stay within my risk. If, like on TradeLocker, there was a mechanic to show what you are risking and what you can profit, that might yield to greater success within Topstep.

Calculate Contracts based on Stop Loss/Risk
I would like to have a tool that calculates the number of contracts based on stop loss/risk.
This would allow us to accurately know the exact financial amount we are risking before execution.
Thank you :)
