Percentage Trailing DLL from a user defined high watermark.

The current trailing DLL is a great feature, but I think it would be greatly improved with a percentage figure from a user defined high watermark. Compared to a fixed value as it is currently.

For example, set your high watermark at $3000. Set your trailing DD at 50 % of the high watermark.

If your P&L drops to $1500, your account is locked out for the day.

Either this, and/or making this lockout element stand on its own, be able to lock your other settings in for the day but make trailing a feature to activate at a later time so you can do so at a later time during the days trading. Example, rather than set a lock in $300 trailing loss limit from the start of day, right up, once you have gains of X amount, THEN set up a trail from there that 1. Secures a winning day, and 2. Gives you a more workable trailing amount to facilitate an all day hold potentially. RE: Building a larger position once in profits makes $300 almost an auto trigger to be done, no change to expand you win amount. Your percent idea would also work. Either would be an improvement. The general Idea is here and in one other post and is getting stale, hope it moved past In Review soon…

PLEASE either do this (trailing DLL activated as a % once activated by a chosen high water mark) OR ***make the Trailing DLL a separate action item to lock for the day.*** Being forced to NOT lock for the day in an effort to bring this element of a trading style into play constantly bites me it the arse. Not being locked to facilitate the option that is not in play means… you guessed it, max daily loss is open to adjusting. Pleaaaaaaase. For what its worth I have this option in play with the GAT app on another platform, I want TopStep to me my one and only but, sigh….

PLEASE do this. Making trailing loss a separate element for locking in for a day will change my world. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve not locked my daily loss due to not wanting to lock my trail at $300 while seeking a higher than $300 level of gain before setting a trailing lock to serve my goal and trading plan.

Enable Trailing Separate from Risk Settings

I think if trailing DLL had an option to be locked out separately from the risk settings it would give us more control of how much profit we want to lock onto once the account is green.

I agree with this 100, million%. This should absolutley be a separate feature from locking out risk settings, similar to how we can place TP and SL is (bracket) and not have that locked out when locking risk settings. I would like to have the ability to have my acct lock out if I break even on the day

    Trail to B/E Stop

Add the ability to place a trailing stop order which trails at the given distance until it reaches B/E, then stops.

Be able to set your PDDL in the money so that i could set it for a profit and not lose all gains.

I would love to see a sophisticated PDDL that I can change as I make money in the market so that if I make $1000 I could set my pddl so that I dont let my account go below $500 in profit and I can still get stopped out with a winning day. Just would be insurance that I don't get caught up on tilt and lose my winnings.

I want to be able to set up a situation like this

my account is up $1000 and I don’t want to risk losing the full amount so I want to add a risk setting that would allow me to risk a dollar amount say 500 of the $1000 total daily profit. allowing me to push for a higher profit but not lose my entire day if things go south. So for another example profit so far 1000 set risk parameter to 500 so worse case i end the day plus 500 but things go well i am now up to 1500 so my risk parameter is still $500 so now my worse case is i end the day plus $1000 . also possible to do percentage of that amount so that we risk 50% of profits example - 1000$ daily profit risk 50% which is 500$ now we get to 1500$ our risk is still 50% or $750 of the daily profit. ……
