Add Range Charts (Range Bars) to TopstepX
Hello Topstep Team,
I would like to request the addition of Range Charts (range bars) to the TopstepX platform.
Range charts (e.g., 20-tick, 30-tick, 40-tick) are extremely important for futures traders, especially for ES and NQ, as they help reduce noise and better identify market structure and momentum.
This feature would greatly improve the trading experience for intraday and order-flow-focused traders.
Thank you for considering this request.

40 range chart
Hi Topstep Team,
I would like to submit a feature request for native Range Chart support in the TopstepX platform.
Range charts are a core tool for many futures traders, especially scalpers and price-action based traders. They are widely used on platforms like NinjaTrader and Quantower because they filter out time-based noise and focus purely on price movement.
Currently, TopstepX supports time, tick, volume, and footprint charts, which are great tools. However, tick charts are not a true replacement for range charts, and many trading strategies cannot be accurately executed without them.
Adding native range charts to TopstepX would:
β’ Make the platform more competitive with professional futures platforms
β’ Reduce the need for external platforms and datafeed switches
β’ Improve trader retention for range-based strategies
β’ Support a large group of disciplined, systematic traders
I understand platform development takes time, but this feature would be extremely valuable for a significant portion of the Topstep trading community. Even a basic native range bar implementation would be a huge step forward.
Thank you for considering this request, and for continuing to improve the Topstep ecosystem.
Best regards,
