Adjusted Trailing Stop

I would like a feature that would only trigger the trailing stop when a certain price point is reached.

PLEASE do this. Making trailing loss a separate element for locking in for a day will change my world. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve not locked my daily loss due to not wanting to lock my trail at $300 while seeking a higher than $300 level of gain before setting a trailing lock to serve my goal and trading plan.

This would be a great element to have in play. Even better if in addition to the price point trigger the stop was based on a % of pullback of unrealized gains and not a static dollar value that becomes a trade killer from a tiny drop once your gain gets to higher levels during the trade.

Example, if I have a $300 daily loss limit I could set the trailing to kick in at say $800 which means once I hit that mark it sets up a win for the day of at least $500 and takes away my propensity for letting tilt kick in to try for more at the expense of losing it all and ending up negative as the end of day result.

Relative to the % feature I mention: Say I’m making gains in a trade with 2 mini NQ and they are in nice profit (say + $2k) and I want to set a tp for one and let one ride a potential all day uptrend. Well I need a bit of room for that runner to survive and not get whacked on a small pullback (which is inevitable). If the setting could be a percentage (say i set 50%), I can survive the pullbacks of a stepladder grind up (or down) and maybe make it all the way to auto liquidate for a LOT more profit, while ensuring a nice win if it does not sustain. Part of the why here is because I NEED to lock my personal settings at start of day because if I don’t do that I’ll just change them before they get hit. NOTE: this all stems from my ability to do so in Guardian Angel Trader app that I have on Ninja Trader. I know Dee has mentioned that app so maybe there is familiarity with this feature.
