Make Contract Limits Lockable Like Other Risk Settings
Description:
Currently, contract limits in Topstep can be changed at any time during the session. This undermines the purpose of the feature — it’s too easy to bypass the limit with a quick settings change.
While this might help prevent fat-finger mistakes or inattentive order entries, it does little to enforce discipline or provide meaningful guardrails for risk management.
For traders using contract limits as part of a structured risk plan, the ability to change them mid-session makes the feature effectively useless.
Proposed Solution:
Make contract limits lockable for the duration of the session, just like other risk settings.
Once the market is open (or after a defined lock time), changes should only take effect for the next session.
This would align contract limits with Topstep’s other risk controls and make them a more effective tool for building discipline.

Trade Lock
It'd be nice to have to option to lock current positions, SL, and target in for a certain amount of time. There's times where I'll get a good position and tell myself im going to hold this until set time and I get swayed into closing too early and I going my way.

Lock/Unlock Trades Button
One of the most scary things in futures trading on platforms is the easiness of leaving trades, and finding out when you get notified that you got tagged in a left limit order from an earlier trade. Even with the "flatten all" feature, I want to suggest a button which can both lock and unlock your trading account from placing any trades. This can fully soothe any anxiety about leaving a trade, and if a trade happens while your account is in a locked position, you have physical evidence of it not being your fault

Lock trading button
We have the trade clock and account lockout for X amount of time which is great, but a basic padlock button on the top bar that locks order entry while it’s enabled is a basic but very useful missing feature.
