A true back testing tool similar to fxreplay.com or forextester.com would be nice as the market replay tool from tradingview kinda sucks as its very limited, hard to use with multiple timeframes at once, and its limited to how far you can go back to test.
if you need a way to get data when making the tool, you can buy some from forextester.com and export that data into a file.
Im not sure how possible this is. but, if you can have a option to save individuals trades so you can go back to them like a flash card to quickly practice saved trades, that would be very cool to have.

Tick data replay for a desired time window would be really useful for beginners

I could really use an option to backtest, with options to speed up to 10x and actual tick by tick data, not fully closed candles appearing. This helps recreate the same "emotions" while live trading and is what backtesting should feel like, as close to live trading with some ability to control the environment (speed and timeframe).
You should open source any future algo trading and backtesting engine and build it in rust. I've been building my own platform in rust over last year, with charting and collocation servers etc for strategies. It's an amazing language for algo back end.
I had plans to compile a c type interface so any language that supports c libraries can be used for building strategies but I am also using 0 copy serde for data transfer so I am not sure if I will proceed with this step, since personally I found rust better for algos than c# or python and I prefer the speed of using bytes vs json etc.
I was planning on making open source later but I am not professional engineer or programmer.
I think the topstep x front end could work with my project since it appears to be lightweight charts api.
Topstep should definitely consider an open source model for any algo trading engine since we would need to understand the engine to properly test strategies.
I'd be really keen to get involved in an engine project backed by topstep.

back testing strategies
Setup multiple Programmed and Planned strategies and be able to back test with data to compare and rank. ie-Think Or Swim (TD) has this

Strategies Builder - automation trades - similar to Ninja Trader, or any scripting using indicator values, etc..
