LOCK RISK SETTINGS like a real prop - 3RD PARTY AND LONG DURATION
Cutting-edge suggestion related to risk management lock feature on TopstepX:
Allow any 3rd party / any individual located globally to lock the account for you on a daily or weekly basis. This would be an accountability partner who you can choose from within the community, or anybody you know who you can depend on to lock your settings for any given time period. They do not need access to your platform to set the risk, but can access it from any other link sent to them. This feature locks settings similar to what a real prop would do - they force you to take accountability.
Duplicate of reported feature request - as a substitute to having a 3rd party lock your account, allow the trader to lock risk settings for longer duration - specifically week or month. Including max contracts allowed. This allows you to obey risk rules when it is most important - after winning or losing streaks. Often traders will be discipline in setting risk lockout but not always so, and especially not when trader is near meeting profit or time deadlines/objectives, after winning or losing streaks.
Limit the ability to purchase new accounts during lockout period to prevent trader from retaliating via using a second account, and instead to make them sit through their lockout period.

Quick note, you can also allow the trader to pay an individual (for example $1 a day) to lock settings for you. Would even be more incentive to lock the account regularly, this is a way the community can get payed, and this is a way fr the trader to invest money into their risk management which adds seriousness. Compliance on both sides.
The user should decide the risk settings for the week and should not be able to change it for the week.

I agree that this is a needed addition to the risk management settings. We set the max loss, for example, for a reason. If I take a trade where a stop would put me at my DLL and due to slippage my DLL is not hit when I get stopped, I don't want to be able to adjust my risk settings intra day at that point. I want to just be effectively done for the day.
It is good to use topstep X for your risk setting particularly lock risk setting for day but this is not enough for peoples like me. Because I am using this for some days and not regularly, finally this results loss so please introduce lock risk setting for month. This will help us to prevent loss because of it’s unique single action for whole month. Thankyou
great platform, for traders who are not very disciplined yet, it would be helpful if the risk system used for the combine would also be implemented in the pro + to help traders who can't manage emotions constantly, I'm excited and hope to get past the combine
It could be useful to allow for custom time slots to be restricted using the risk settings. For example… if you know you typically dont perform well between 11:30 and 2:30 but find yourself still getting sucked into trading during this time period, you could create a restricted time slot in the risk setting that will lock you out and not allow you to place any trades during that period.
i would like to see a risk setting added on which day we should trade and which day we should be locked out for the days we dont want to trade. This way i think for some people its more discipline. Personally i have trouble with restraining myself when it comes to trading days that i told myself i wouldn’t trade on those days.
I would love to see if thats a possible implementation and can help traders to manage their risk and protect their capital.

We need a way to be able to “Lock in Profits”. Like a Profit stop loss, akin to the Lockout Feature. I keep losing all my profits. I would use it to automatically lock myself out if I lost a certain amount of profit if I could.

trading allowable hours would require “Closing positions solely” for outside of trading personalized hours, but I like the idea for sure.

Lock the risk setting for the week.

Risk Setting lock for a week
Please add the option for lock risk setting up to a week (end at Friday 5pm)
Currently it is a daily setting. The weekly risk lockout will be super helpful.

Add lockout for Risk setting.
Add a feature such that you can change each parameters in the Risk Setting only once in 24 hours.
For Example: If you change the Daily Personal Loss Limit, now you can change it or update it only after 24 hours.
Under emotions we can increase the risk limit every time we reach near it. So If this feature is added it will help limit the big losses.

Custom time restricted risk settings

i would like to see a risk setting added on which day we should trade and which day we should be locked out for the days we dont want to trade. This way i think for some people its more discipline. I would like the risk settings to be blocked on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
